A Las Vegas-based marijuana operator has sent its first shipment of CBD hempseeds to Asia, as part of a new partnership with a Thailand-based company.
Audacious Brands entered a partnership with Golden Triangle Health, a subsidiary of the publicly traded NRF, to supply major consumer packaged goods companies with white-label and branded products.
The seeds will be cultivated and used for food products and CBD extraction. According to Audacious, the company is the first North American firm to ship hempseeds for CBD production to Asia.
The two companies are working toward a broad commercial program to expand throughout Asia and internationally, according to a company statement.
The partnership with Audacious strengthens GTH’s operational capabilities in cannabis, according to GTH co-founder Tom Kruesopon.
“We have many opportunities and are leveraging our network of international distribution contacts to execute rapidly” in the Asia-Pacific cannabis market, he said in a statement.
Audacious Brands, formerly known as Australis Capital, trades under the ticker symbol AUSA and on U.S. over-the-counter markets as AUSAF.
