Gov. Phil Murphy signed off on a legal marijuana industry a year ago. However, the state will miss the unofficial deadline to start recreational sales in New Jersey. Ahead of the creation of NJ’s industry, Rutgers researchers have released a report considering the impact of legalization on residents’ health, education and safety. Rhonda Schaffler sits down with Charles Menifield, Dean of the School of Public Policy and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark, to discuss the study findings and how it can help shape the state’s creation of legal marijuana market.
